Adventures in Computer Building
In keeping with the spirit of the new year, I figured the best way to knock my resolution of “learn something new” off the list was to tackle it head on and without hesitation. And so, I built my very first computer from top to bottom… on my own*.
*But was helped in spirit by Paul from Newegg.
Over the last couple of months I’d been giving some serious thought to my new...

Dear Potterfans,
A movement is spreading across the internet, and you’ve probably heard of it. When the credits on the 8th movie begin to roll, everyone who has loved Harry Potter over the years will raise their wands in the air and say “Mischief Managed” I politely and hopefully ask that you will post this final send off to Harry Potter in your group Blog. We want to make this a reality, so...

Google's Think Quarterly →
Example of a publication with visually stunning spreads and just an incredible use of layout, typography and graphic design. Definitely planning on subscribing to Google’s new online full-length magazine for some much needed inspiration.

For anyone still reading
When life gets completely out of control, I often wonder from whom can I ask for help. At this point in time, I’m requesting the virtual ears of any deities willing to listen in addition to all of my friends, near and far, to send over all of the most positive energy that you have to spare for a dear loved one of mine. Whether it’s an ear-to-ear smile, a silent prayer before brunch, or...

Parents and Technology
(Upon making Dad's new Facebook account)
Dad: So, can we be friends?
Mom: We're already friends.
Dad: Oh, so I can write to you?
Mom: Dad, you have to remember that everything you write, your friends can see.
Dad: Oh, well, can I do a private message?
Mom: Yes, you can send a message to me, but everyone will see if you post on the wall.
Dad: But I LUHHHVVVVVVV you.
LOL.
Oh, parentals on Facebook.

Sara Bareilles and her piano-pop twist on Beyoncé’s 2008 smash hit “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”
Confession: Although Beyoncé’s version was indeed, catchy, it definitely wore me out after a while - Sara B. developed a cover I could see myself baking pancakes to on a Sunday morning.

I know I haven't posted in the longest time...
…but nothing eventful enough to blog about has presented itself to me.
That is, until I started cleaning out the debris that’s accumulated in my closet and came upon a gold foil-wrapped money lei, compliments of an old family friend, that was given to me for my high school graduation in 2005.
After 25 solid minutes of string-clipping, dollar-unscrunching and quarter-unraveling, I...

I haz job
Though most of you know by now, I figured I’d make my official declaration on my beloved Tumblr - I have a job!
To exclaim “Woot!” would be a definite understatement - I’m beyond ecstatic, and still can’t believe it’s already been three whole weeks since starting. I’m an account coordinator at a B2B public relations firm in Torrance - the organization...

Things are looking up...
I’ve been on the interview circuit these past few weeks and have been non-stop keeping busy with my work with NextAid.
Stay tuned - I have news! I want to share in its entirety very soon. A little too giddy and sleepy at the moment to do the story justice, so I’ll post it all as soon as I can get it all down.

GG, Old - Sup, New
The idea of an epic non-internet-guided love quest is romantic, no doubt, but I wouldn’t trade how far we’ve come for it. The common conception of a classic love tale is predicated on all the black and white movies we’ve watched on TMC. (Or after we’ve just watched The Notebook.) Destiny-inspired romances, grand gestures of affection, a long lost...

My BSB Love Knows No Bounds
I may be 22 but damn, my love for the Backstreet Boys is as fresh as 10-year-old Amy. I sifted through the music video uploads on their awesomely updated website and found another reason why I’ll be a BSB fangirl for life.
Their video, Just Want You To Know, is fantastically inspired by the hard rockin’ metal bands of the 80s and shot to pay tribute to the era and all of its...
